Want to be a millionaire but prefer to get rich without having to work hard for years? Why not audition for “Who Wants to Be A Millionaire?” It’s not exactly like winning the lottery so if you’re one of those people who’d be embarrassed that you won your millions instead of earned them, winning “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” wouldn’t exactly qualify as acquiring money you didn’t earn. You’d have earned your millions by proving you’re smarter than most people. Oh wait, that’s Jeopardy; but still, you’d have earned your millions by winning a game that required you to know something.

Here’s how you can become a contestant of the popular game show hosted by Meredith Viera:
To get in the hot seat you must pass a Millionaire Audition.
Attend a show taping and audition for the show.
If you have auditioned before and received a postcard stating that you are in the Contestant Pool, please note: Eligibility for selection from the Contestant Pool does expire. Anyone who auditioned prior to June 2005 will need to audition again this year.
You must be 18 years of age or older, a resident of the 50 United States or District of Columbia, never played in the “hot seat” on either the network or syndicated Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and meet all eligibility requirements. For complete eligibility requirements please see the
Millionaire reserves the right to limit the number of times a person may audition for the show.
