USDCAD hits the 104 range
Tue, Aug 5, 2008
As of 6:49AM EST Tuesday August 5th, 2008, the US dollar has pushed to a day high of 104294 against the Canadian dollar. Some analysts expect this trend to persist for some time as the USD continues to see an increase in long positions across all major currency pairs in the fx trading market.
With crude oil prices continuing to favor the USD and experts suggesting the oil bubble has burst, it looks like traders who shorted the USD when analysts were predicting the USD would continue to decline in value a couple of weeks ago will need to start thinking about cutting their losses now; or else they might need to get down on their collective knees and pray for a some cataclysmic event to cause mass panic in the industry and result in a wave of selling of the US dollar.
