Millionaire in 2008
Sun, Dec 23, 2007
I was recently speaking to an aspiring millionaire acquaintance who was very frustrated that she turns 45 this month and all she has saved is a little over 10K. This lady is a highly educated professional with various degrees and an enviable resume.
She was severely depressed when we spoke. Her life wasn’t going according to plan financially. She figured she should be a millionaire by now or at least have more to her name than she owns. During our lengthy conversation she said to me that if 2008 ends and she still hasn’t achieved her millionaire goals she’s just going to tie a noose around her neck and hang herself.
Apparently her life is not worth living unless she has a million-dollar bank account. Have you also made it your goal to become a millionaire in 2008 or kill yourself if you fail to accomplish this goal?
Or are you like another aspiring millionaire acquaintance of mine who has pretty much reached the point where he would love it if his hard work would start to pay off finally, but he’s not holding your breath. He doesn’t have any expectation that 2008 will be any different from 2007; and while he’s not plotting to hang himself on account of his failure to make the kind of money he desires, he’s still extremely depressed about his situation and his life has reached the point where he gets no joy out of living whatsoever. Are you in a similar place in your life?
