If you are losing money trading forex don’t be too hard on yourself. For most traders to get to the point where they are making a profit trading forex they need time and practice and ongoing dedication to learn forex . Of course you’re not interested in being mollified with cliches like “you are not alone”, but the truth is, most new traders lose their initial deposit and many never make a profit at all. Does this mean you should give up trying to become a forex millionaire if that’s your goal, or give up trying to make money trading forex?
If you are losing money trading forex and you are becoming frustrated or even depressed it would be advisable that you take some time away from trading, but there is no need to give up forex trading altogether. The foreign exchange market provides an opportunity 24 hours per day Sunday - Friday for you to make money. It is a legitimate opportunity; but in order for you to capitalize you need to understand thoroughly how the forex market works. You need to have a strategy for how you are going to make money in forex. Without a strategy you will have little hope of success.
If you do have a strategy but you are not making money, you might spend your time off trying to devise a new strategy. Switch back to demo mode for a while and work on a new strategy.
Keep in mind that the amount of money in your account can help or hurt your chances. If you have too little money you won’t have much room for error. Because losses in forex are inevitable, you need enough money in your account to cover your losses and allow for the possibility of profit.
