Not all market makers are created equally; and some will tell you that market makers are not to be trusted because the primary way they make money is by betting against you.
By definition the majority of the top retail forex brokers fall into the category of market maker, even in the case of those brokers that operate a no-dealing desk operation. Retail forex brokers will generally be more concerned about fattening their own pockets and many are set up to fatten their pockets with your deposit money. Does this mean you should not get into the world of forex trading? Not necessarily, but you should definitely go in with full awareness of the fact that it’s possible your broker will try to undermine you.
